In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 OCFP Awards program has been paused. Nominations received to date in all categories will be considered in the 2021 Awards program.

Nominations for the OCFP Regional Family Physician of the Year award will be put forward for the 2020 Reg L. Perkin Award, a national honour from the College of Family Physicians of Canada. Nominations currently in progress for the Regional Family Physician of the Year must be completed by May 29, 2020, to be considered for the 2020 Reg L. Perkin Award. In addition, completed nominations in this category will be considered in the 2021 OCFP Regional Family Physician of the Year.

Each year, the OCFP Awards celebrate family medicine and the vital contributions that Ontario’s family doctors make to their patients, communities and our healthcare system.

For 2020, we are delighted to announce the introduction of several new award categories, as well as updates to the criteria of longstanding categories.  The purpose of our awards program is to shine a spotlight on the outstanding work happening everyday across the province.

If you have a candidate in mind but are not sure which award category is best suited, we’d be happy to help direct you.  Contact with any questions.

If this is your first visit, please note that your membership ID is not your sign-in, rather you need to create an account.  By creating an account, you can sign in and out as often as you like to work on a nomination.
